Now that the spring is in the air and the weather is getting hotter, a great side dish is always a salad. Salads give you the feeling of freshness and coolness.
I love spring because everything comes back to life and the world is filled with all the brilliant colours of the rainbow. The air seems so fresh and life just seems to be renewed. The rising temperature means we’re more likely to be active, and as a result we release endorphin, the hormone that minimises pain and boosts mood.
Help yourself to a soothing salad.
½ cup of mayonnaise
¼ cup of sour cream
½ tbsp of chopped garlic
1/ tsp. celery seed ground
3 tsp. honey
1 tsp of Dijon mustard
Mix all together and top your favourite salad. This goes particularly nice with shredded lettuce and carrots along with your favourite dried fruit. You may also substitute and use in a shredded cabbage salad.
